Journal of Morgan Adams

One of the new Inmates, Jim, comes from the same world as mine, and it would seem that through a lot of bad happenstance and poor decisions, these two are very much responsible for each other's deaths. With Henry's decisions in particular catalyzing much of it. They very nearly killed each other the other day and would probably like another chance to do so again.

Bearing in mind that Jim is as yet un-sorted, I'd like to put to the lot of you the notion of my taking measures to see to it that this animosity simmers -- at least to some more rational level.

And I don't mean just keeping them separated, because that has never worked.

What I mean to say is -- does anyone have any objections to my getting a little creative with this? 

And who has a pair of handcuffs I could borrow? 

(ooc: assume that all replies are under the same filter -- also before anyone new jumps in to go "OMG are you crazy?" note that she's come to conclude in most discussions by now that she intends to wait for sorting and tossing ideas around with whoever Jim gets assigned to)

Gonna be in the Infirmary for a few days -- that's about how long it'll take before I get antsy and just walk out. Expect it.

Don't take this like I feel like every delicate flower on this ship needs shielding; I know most of you can hold your own in a fight. But stay away from Victor Creed. I don't identify with all of you. I don't hold myself to the same standards I hold other women, so just know that the fact that I'm coming out and saying this really means something. I'm saying that to all of you specifically, because he wouldn't have attacked me if I weren't a woman. If you have to tangle with him, use only killing blows. If you've got a gun, shoot him in the head. Nothing else is going to work. If you don't do this, you are going to lose. Be cautious around this guy. Creed. Someone's already posted a Warning before. I see what you do. But I'm not even asking or telling you to stay away from him; I'm ordering you to stay away, and don't interact with him unless you absolutely have to. You pass that on to Billy.

...I swear I'm not usually this absent-minded, but has anyone seen King Charles? It's occurring to me that I haven't seen him since before the flood.

This is probably gonna sound odd and feel free not to answer me if you're like the rest of us and wanting to forget this shit -- but I could recall just about everybody and understand how the change came over. But you. I don't get you. What was up with you in that world?

(ooc: So King Charles -- Morgan's Monkey -- is probably huddled up somewhere and has been for most of the flood. Unlike other pets that may have disappeared I think there was a Mirrorverse version of him too. And this pet was just -- unaffected. And likely moved into the pantry when none of the bad guys were looking. But people can feel free to find him just about anywhere that's warm.)

[Morgan's turning on her comm link -- apparently just as she booting someone out her door. A heavy rustle of cloth is also heard before she addresses any listeners.]

Some of you know how to ruin a perfectly good morning. If one more person talks about a flood, I'm gonna knock some skulls in. The Admiral says there's no flood? There's no flood. Why're some people acting weird? Don't know. Don't care. Maybe they cracked.

Speaking of which. Angelus? Your Inmate's kicking around a lot more guff than usual. Can't tell if that just means he's on his monthlies or that you did something right for a change, so illuminate me.

You normal, soldier? You read like you still are, but considering half the barge is still acting strange, I might as well ask.

[ooc: Mirror!Morgan spent the night with Sam Tyler. (*edits in his last name when she realizes they still have two or three Sams on board*) She tends to be the sort that's very 'okay, I'm done with you, let's do this again sometime, here's your pants, now get out of my room' after nights like that. Checking her journal also made her a tad grumpy. Her loyalty to the Admiral is compounded tenfold here, buuuuut she secretly/actively encourages West to do his little underground things, but just expects that if the Inmates ARE going to revolt, that he is in charge and that he rules with an iron fist.]

Are people finding warm places okay? There isn't someone here that's still just making due with an extra blanket, is there? Henry? Are you and Billy holding over all right? JD?

I think I'm with everybody else when I say I'd like some shore leave soon. Maybe someplace with some music, good food and dancing. Not that the food here isn't great, but sometimes something a little exotic is fun, and I think we're all due for a little from the Admiral. Venice might have been crazy as sin, but at least we got a good party out of it.

I'd kind of like to go riding, too. I like horses, but I don't get to interact with them too often.

Finally what the Hell are Uno cards, and what happened to my normal deck?

I'd love to help you guys with the mirror moving and such, but mine? It's kind of built into the wall. And huge. And I wouldn't hate the guy who keeps appearing on the other side but he's kind of So I'm just gonna throw a sheet over it and just not be in my room most times. Is that all right?

EDIT: Also, what are you people going to do about the mirrors in the Inmate lavatories?

Henry, has anyone come by yours and Billy's room yet?

And what's the infirmary doing for sleeping aids again? I wouldn't mind one. Just one. If I can get a full night's sleep, it'll tide me over for a while.

I feel like I've been asleep for a week, and not really in a good way. I come out and we've got a whole floor of new people I haven't gotten to know yet. Not that I've been too terribly social with many to begin with. Maybe a word or two to a few people since that last party in the pub. So -- on my part, sorry. We'll catch up sooner or later.

I think I'm all right to go back to my room now, if that's okay. Besides, King Charles hasn't had anyone looking after him, and I know he'd just make a mess in the infirmary -- not to mention get into some things he probably shouldn't.
