124 - Port

I'm organizing a group to go out into port, observe, and try to locate some of our missing persons, maybe even the three that disappeared some days ago. I'd encourage similar groups to form, but please, people, don't be stupid and go off on your own. Groups of four or more, please.

Wardens, DO NOT arm Inmates that are not yours without permission from their Wardens first, if they are present.

Anyone wishing to go with my group may respond here.

(OOC: Okay, the first group is getting big. She said to break up into multiple groups, people :| Show some initiative. Also remember that there ARE people that are going to be needed for doing repairs and protecting the ship. Particularly if any outsiders try to board it.)

Admiral, If I can pride myself on anything, it's my ability to trust your judgment in most circumstances. But bringing Jim here and then having him disappear again? I don't know if it's occurred to you, but this is the THIRD TIME he's been here, and each time it seems to either prove every poor thought that West ever had of him while adding another few, or he's here for too little time to ascertain much about him at all.

I can't help my Inmate if you keep opening the wound, and not giving him any time to work through all of this or come to some understanding with an enemy? Really not helping him. All you're doing by dangling that boy in front of his nose is justifying his behavior and I'll not have anyone undermining my job here. Not even you. You're cheating him, and you're cheating me.

Not for nothing, but I need you to give me something I can show my Inmate. Anything to make him think you're true to your word about his men, at least, because what you're doing to him, and by extension making me do, is beyond the pale.

[Morgan's turning on her comm link -- apparently just as she booting someone out her door. A heavy rustle of cloth is also heard before she addresses any listeners.]

Some of you know how to ruin a perfectly good morning. If one more person talks about a flood, I'm gonna knock some skulls in. The Admiral says there's no flood? There's no flood. Why're some people acting weird? Don't know. Don't care. Maybe they cracked.

Speaking of which. Angelus? Your Inmate's kicking around a lot more guff than usual. Can't tell if that just means he's on his monthlies or that you did something right for a change, so illuminate me.

[Private Transmission to Major West]

You normal, soldier? You read like you still are, but considering half the barge is still acting strange, I might as well ask.

[ooc: Mirror!Morgan spent the night with Sam Tyler. (*edits in his last name when she realizes they still have two or three Sams on board*) She tends to be the sort that's very 'okay, I'm done with you, let's do this again sometime, here's your pants, now get out of my room' after nights like that. Checking her journal also made her a tad grumpy. Her loyalty to the Admiral is compounded tenfold here, buuuuut she secretly/actively encourages West to do his little underground things, but just expects that if the Inmates ARE going to revolt, that he is in charge and that he rules with an iron fist.]

So West. About that water.

I found some more. And I don't think it'll evaporate as soon as we pull it out again.

There's a problem, however.

[Cue random giggles in the background. Morgan makes a frustrated noise.]

Build shelter, find clean water, find food. Gotcha.

West, it sounds like we're going to be spending some time in the outdoors. Prepare accordingly.

This is going to be fun. Any guesses on where it will be?

You ever feel like you've been holding your breath for a long time and it never really occurred to you until just then? I think today's one of those days.

[Private to West]

I'd like it if you'd do the evaluation that Rube passed out. You don't have to let me see it if you don't want to.

But in the meantime, I think we arranged to play a game of Uno. You up for it?

Henry, let's do something soon. Just the two of us.

I think I'm with everybody else when I say I'd like some shore leave soon. Maybe someplace with some music, good food and dancing. Not that the food here isn't great, but sometimes something a little exotic is fun, and I think we're all due for a little from the Admiral. Venice might have been crazy as sin, but at least we got a good party out of it.

I'd kind of like to go riding, too. I like horses, but I don't get to interact with them too often.

Finally what the Hell are Uno cards, and what happened to my normal deck?

I'm officially motioning for a vote that we skip Halloween next year. That's my third and not one of them has been pleasant.

...So how did it turn from bad to extremely horrible so quick and then just disappear? Did somebody find a mirror and put more blood on it?

I've never been to the infirmary so many times in the span of a month before.

Doc, rum with these pills you gave me would be bad, right? Just checking.

[Private to West]

So...I think we're back. I mean, since Rube's been sorted.

I know you and Billy were staying out of harm's way for most of it -- tell me that didn't change.

Henry, where are you right now?
