gimmethemap: (y'got me there)
That was quite a sweet gesture to wake up to Admiral. Really. If a bit messy. And I think King Charles, Mason, and Poor Joe enjoyed the breakfast immensely.

I'm sure it would have been delicious.
gimmethemap: (flood - halloween)
This doesn't look like the Death Star.

[She looks about cautiously, before addressing the screen. It's Leia, but only sort of; something is immediately off in that she seems a little more...aggressive, perhaps, but her demeanor seems to switch to something somewhat more vulnerable in a near-instant.]

I must reach the planet Alderaan as soon as possible; it's urgent! Please, can anyone read me?

(ooc: Morgan thought buying a Leia costume would mean that in the event of...well, something like this, she wouldn't embarrass herself. But unfortunately she bought the mildly sexed-up costume design, so she's less Leia and more what lonely geeks think of Leia :| So expect softcore hilarity and terrible dialogue to ensue.)
gimmethemap: (going to regret this later)
I've never been ashamed of what I have done here or the people I've run with. I never so much as raised a hand to a person that didn't harm me or mine first.

What I do and have done is not something that everyone is going to think normal, and I've reconciled myself to that. But does not, and has never made me a sinner. I never took what I didn't need. I provided for my family. I taught my child right.

[Family Filter]

Family meeting. Jim, Leia, girls -- let's meet in the cart an two hours before the gate tonight.

We all need to have a long talk.

(ooc: So the Cooch dancers and barkers need to get together and have a meeting. Morgan and Jim have seriously discussing cutting out and settling down somewhere, and...they probably won't leave without their family. Probably. Anyway, spam here)
gimmethemap: (Default)
Jim, Leia, Girls --

Don't go into town -- not before the gate and not after closing. Not alone, at any rate, and I wanna know when and where and how long before you do it.

No Johnnies tonight that Jim or I don't clear first. No negotiating that.

And keep an eye on the people tonight. If they're too edgy there's not gonna be a blow-off.
gimmethemap: (you idiot)
Goddamnit.

Looks like that storm that hit us back in Stoolbend did a number on our tapestries. Girls, when you're done with rehearsals, take a break and get to mending them. We're not starting the show tonight looking like we've never made money doing this before.

Tents up, but there's only one guy building the stage -- so I need a few more rousties in here helping him and one to fix a few of the lights.

Cooch don't sell in the dark.

Leia, where is your brother?

(ooc: Morgan, one of a husband/wife barker duo for the Cooch Dancers -- one of which is their daughter, Laura, the rest of which are Leia (her husband's sister) and Leia's daughters. This was not uncommon back in the old days. For added effect (and why she's not in the show herself) she has a brace on one of her legs from taking a bullet to the knee and can't actually dance anymore. She...is also kinda bossy no matter what her form. And annoyed at setbacks -- noting that when she's annoyed that Jim Kirk stops being her husband and becomes her sister-in-law's brother instead.)
gimmethemap: (serious)
[Morgan is out on deck, which is seemingly unoccupied. She's successfully avoided bursting into song for this long and decided she was safe to pursue a little fresh air and as per usual she gets a little caught up in the view. It's her favorite part about this place. Her video feed cuts on when she leans against the deck and unknowingly puts a little too much pressure on some of the buttons. Damn modern gadgetry :| She hears the music first and smiles a little sourly, looking up at nobody and nothing in particular, like she does when she's directing something at the Admiral, with a sort of humorous Okay fine you got me kind of air. Her voice is soulful and nostalgic.]

The sweetest dreams I've ever known are those of you and those of home. )

[The sound of a low "awooo" is heard and she looks down, bending to give Mason the basset hound a few affectionate strokes. When she stands again she notices the little red light on, makes a face, and clicks it off.]

(ooc: Comments and spam are welcome :3)

So does anyone here have a fireplace I could borrow?

(ooc: Stupid rain outside :| Also, after much thought and careful suggestion -- Morgan is flood affected. And will react with freakish jealousy when guys mention other women (or guys they're into), or guardedly mistrustful around other ladies. It's just not well-targeted, as her outburst yesterday would clearly suggest. FEEL FREE TO POKE HER.)

So does anyone have it figured out yet? What's going on, anyway?

And why it keeps raining up on the deck?

gimmethemap: (c'mon)
Ah, I remember the last of these floods fondly. Only not really. I seem to remember one squirrely little miscreant breaking into my room in the dead of night to raid my wardrobe for undergarments. Hopefully not an effect of the flood.

A whole two years since a full repeat. I'm impressed, Admiral.
gimmethemap: (frustrated)
Shit. ...Shit. [a shaky, possibly tearful sigh as the audio cuts out]

[Private to the Admiral]

L-Look, I realize this isn't an Inmate request but can you... please? Just bring him back and don't let him remember it.

[/Private]

[sounding tired but somewhat dire]

Have many people been coming into the infirmary lately? Just out of curiosity.

...Henry, are you and Billy all right?

(ooc: So...Morgan's been pointedly keeping it together since she came back but has been a lot more jumpy when she's either asleep or just waking up, and the flood just made that a lot worse. So what was an affectionate dog just nuzzling her hand for attention triggered a "wake up and defend yourself" response and...yeah :|)
gimmethemap: (flood - camp)
Right. Parents are gone now. Bunk claimed.

Anyone for a swim?
gimmethemap: (flood - pb pensive)
[bear-like yawning noises] Damn. I didn't even feel that.

Bringing Henry back out of the CES -- because he's tiny. Very. Very tiny. And edible to some of the larger things in here.

So yes. Coming out. If I can get the door open.

...And when I stop misplacing him.

Henry?

Y'know I can't think of a part of that which I didn't find personally enjoyable at the time. Almost to the point that I hesitate to apologize for anything, but that's the wrong reaction, isn't it?

To any people that I might have interacted with, the result of which is now extreme awkwardness at best -- Sorry. And I'd appreciate it if you need to talk about it you do it in private.

[Private to the Admiral]

Look, damnit. You need to stop pushing us through waters that make me forget I have a boyfriend, because this is getting fucking ridiculous.
gimmethemap: (flood - cruise)
No ticket stub, no ID card -- nothing really that'd identify me. Nice clothes though! Oh, and I found a compass! At least I think that's what it is. It's pretty old -- maybe a family thing? Or maybe I collected antiques -- don't know why I'd bring just one if it wasn't important, though. Better hang onto it.

Nothing else.

Damn, I wish I at least knew my name.

gimmethemap: (don't go there)
Y'know I've gotten so used to changing during that flood, myself, that I kinda forgot how much fun it is to watch everyone else run around for a change. ...No more than a couple at a time, though. Cute as some of you are when you're little, you're fucking terrifying as a swarm. You'd think I would have remembered what it was like in Pleasantville. But that's what you get for forgetting the past. It just happens all over again.

[Private to JD]

Want to play some cards?

[Private to West]

So...day after everybody grew up again. What'd you get up to?
gimmethemap: (Default)
Ohhh, that doesn't sound good.

[clears throat]

Henry? Henry West and Billy -- whatever your last name is. Please respond!

JD?

Admiral.

I'm at my wits end. Either give me rum RIGHT NOW or lose me forever.

(ooc: Morgan showed Glinda around -- and failed to find a point where she could slide in that she wasn't really a guy. [Thread still in progress.] And then Glinda is basically going to lay one on her and run away giggling.)

Admiral, you have run into one of these often enough that you should be able to see it coming by now! You did this on purpose, didn't you? "Oh, I've just taken the rum supply off the ship. Let's hit something. WHERE IS YOUR GOD NOW?"

...The point is, I'm on to you, and I'd like my girl bits back as soon as possible.

(ooc: This is the...third or fourth time Morgan's turned into a guy?)
gimmethemap: (phew)
...I swear I'm not usually this absent-minded, but has anyone seen King Charles? It's occurring to me that I haven't seen him since before the flood.

[Private to West]

I'd like to talk to you in person, if you're feeling up to it.

[Private to JD]

You okay?

[Private to Dean Winchester]

This is probably gonna sound odd and feel free not to answer me if you're like the rest of us and wanting to forget this shit -- but I could recall just about everybody and understand how the change came over. But you. I don't get you. What was up with you in that world?

[Private to Charlie Prince]

...It really bothered you that Henry got hurt, didn't it?

(ooc: So King Charles -- Morgan's Monkey -- is probably huddled up somewhere and has been for most of the flood. Unlike other pets that may have disappeared I think there was a Mirrorverse version of him too. And this pet was just -- unaffected. And likely moved into the pantry when none of the bad guys were looking. But people can feel free to find him just about anywhere that's warm.)
gimmethemap: (hurt feelings)
[The signal cuts in to immediate angry-to-the-point-of-tears, verge of hysterics shouting]

--miral bring Henry West back! Bring him back NOW!

[there is the sound of barely contained sobs and whatever words follow are incoherent]

(ooc: Morgan's curled up in a corner of her room right now)
