You could have at least put a few bottles or something in the kitchen for people to nick out of, Admiral. Sometimes this sobriety stuff is for the dogs, and I think you know that.

Is everything running all right in the kitchen? Supplies replenish in a few days, right?

[Everybody But Davros Filter]

So I'm not going to pretend I wasn't one of the first finding out where my Inmate was and getting a person or two closer to me for safety reasons, but that's about as far as I went. Beyond that, I don't really think anyone is helping, and that may not be the most popular opinion to have. I think the Marquis has said it best already -- we can't stop going about our lives here on account of one person. If he's an Inmate here then this place can't help him if we keep at it the way people have been going over the last few days. He was only dangerous when he had power, and behaving this way gives him more control than he needs.

I know there are people here who've encountered him certainly more often than I have in the past, but just bear in mind that you've never met him as an Inmate. Regardless of what his intentions were on previous occasions, he's still entitled to the same aid we provide any Inmate who comes here, and those that believe they know him better should be wary, of course, but don't behave in such a way that's going to deter any future warden (who very likely will not be one of you) from putting forth the effort -- whether because they're overcautious, or afraid, or unwilling to see an Inmate here as redeemable.

You want to keep an eye on him? Fine. But treat him like everyone else. It's probably been a long time since anybody's ever done that.

[Private to Libby]

Are you feeling all right?

I'm taking a hunting party to the CES sometime this week. Do either of you want to come?

the not-davros filter. - dammit, it's weird when they agree now.

This is much appreciated, and agreed with on my part. The more you talk of acting rashly against him, the more nervous everyone gets, and that has no productive value at all.

I admit, I was a little concerned about in what capacity the guy might have returned... But if there was any doubt, I think that notice the Admiral put up by the bar pretty much confirms it: He is an inmate.

And if I can keep the undead set at arm's length, then the rest of you can do the same with him.

Hell, that's what we've gotta' do with the Master...

It feels so weird advocating restraint against someone.

I agree, Morgan. I think that after the initial "oh no" calming down has been happening and is a good idea. The Admiral isn't going to take him away, and we're just going to all have to deal with him.

I've been meaning to ask people about assigning a temp warden to inmates not yet assigned... it seems like it would be an especially good idea in this case.

Also, I've taken temporary wardenship of the Master until the Admiral resorts him.

Good point. I'm afraid I've missed a fair amount of new arrivals, lately. I'll have to fix that.

I've never been one for hunting, I'm afraid.

You've never--

Ah.

It's the game where you kick a ball about until you make it into your opponent's goal.

It is. It takes quite a lot of skill and coordination to do it properly.

The apology isn't necessary.
