...I swear I'm not usually this absent-minded, but has anyone seen King Charles? It's occurring to me that I haven't seen him since before the flood.

(ooc: So King Charles -- Morgan's Monkey -- is probably huddled up somewhere and has been for most of the flood. Unlike other pets that may have disappeared I think there was a Mirrorverse version of him too. And this pet was just -- unaffected. And likely moved into the pantry when none of the bad guys were looking. But people can feel free to find him just about anywhere that's warm.)

[Morgan had waited and asked before making this visit for good reason. She fell apart when she was alone, after all, moreso even when Rube came to calm her. She doesn't want to do that in front of him, now; she'd feel almost like she were guilting him. This is probably why, once she comes into the infirmary, her greeting is the same as it always is when she feels bad and doesn't want to talk about it.]

I was caught in a compromising position with Billy and attacked a warden. I'm sure word of that spread and.... fanned the flames, as it were. But I wouldn't have been killed so quickly if I'd concentrated on my own survival.

Those Inmates weren't resisting the same sorts of Wardens as there are here, and you know that. But -- there were also Wardens that were changing, there. Maybe even more if the ones that-- [She stopped, blinking.] Hell, I'm not even sure how it should be called? Those of us here that were unaffected but seemed different on the other side. Maybe if those Wardens remember everything like we do, it'll do them some good.
