I'm coming to find that I like these newcomers, and it's always good to see more Wardens coming in with the new Inmates. It's difficult for the Barge to do what it has to when there aren't enough of the former, and sometimes it means assigning multiple Inmates to one Warden for a while. They're a handful, even the most docile ones, because it's really not that easy having somebody look over your shoulder all the time, is it? And I know it doesn't seem like there's many of us yet, but that can fool you. Sometimes other Wardens and Inmates aren't seen or heard from because it's just necessary -- doesn't explain things terrible well, but that's just how this place works.

So welcome to Rose Tyler and the Doctor. Sorry you haven't seen much of me; I've just been trying to enjoy the quiet while I can.

And welcome to the rest of you -- whom I think I've spoken to, mostly.

If you have any questions, I'd be happy to answer them; I think I'm one of the few that's been aboard the ship more than a year. I've kinda seen the sights already.

I'd say this place is better for most. You're not here to be eternally "punished" or anything. You're here to learn. And you go back because there's no point in not using what you've learned, right?

What if I don't want to go back? My world sucked. S.P.D. doesn't care about humans, except the ones that have nifty alien powers like them, and it doens't care about women. The Troobians don't have any biases like that, but guess what? They lost. Forget my world.

There's very little that doesn't happen.
