This is stupid. It's stupid but it makes me feel better. It's your journal; you'll read it someday, right? Maybe somewhere you're getting it now.

West is gone. So are a bunch of other people. Rube, he's just gone; my compass can't sense him anymore. It was just like waking up after Silent Hill.

There's a new Warden here. I mean, there's always a new Warden here. But this one? I hate her. I've had one conversation with her and I already know I hate her.

I was a good Captain, goddamnit, and I'm a damn good Warden.

The Admiral hasn't responded to my inquiries.

I don't know where he's done, but he didn't fall overboard. The Barge would have veered after him if he did. All I know is that my compass isn't responding to an Inmate anymore.

If he were going of his own free will I want to think he would have left something behind to indicate that. A letter, maybe. Something.
